The Powerease R420 Engine is a powerful and dependable replacement engine, trusted across a wide range of power equipment applications. Known for its durability and performance, this engine is ideal for equipment that requires a keyed, 1” horizontal shaft.

Featuring an air-cooled, 4-stroke, overhead valve (OHV) design, the R420 delivers a higher compression ratio, allowing for greater power output while maintaining fuel efficiency. Engineered with field maintenance in mind, critical components such as the air filter, spark plug, and carburetor are easily accessible for quick servicing and minimal downtime.

The automatic low-oil sensor enhances engine protection by shutting down the engine if oil levels fall below safe operating thresholds, preventing damage and ensuring long-term reliability. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use regular unleaded fuel of 86 octane or higher, with up to 10% ethanol acceptable—though ethanol-free fuel is preferred.
